Sarah thought she couldn’t run any faster or any further... until she started working with a LivingWell Personal Trainer.
LivingWell member Sarah had always enjoyed running, but her daily jog of five to 10 miles was beginning to take its toll, with Sarah experiencing injury after injury.
Although convinced she couldn’t run any further, or faster, than she already did, she decided to start working with a Personal Trainer to find ways to reduce the stress running was putting on her body.
‘How wrong I was!’ smiles Sarah. Within a short time of starting regular Personal Training sessions, Sarah had reduced her niggling injuries – and seriously boosted her stamina and speed.
‘Paul, my trainer, changed my whole way of thinking and training. We incorporated a varied exercise programme to include core training, weights, speed training and more. It changed my body and I achieved faster times in the half marathons that I ran, knocking a whopping 20 minutes off my times!’
Before long, Sarah and Paul were working together on a specific and ambitious goal – the Virgin London Marathon. With a careful training schedule, nutritional advice and motivational support from Paul, and a proud and delighted Sarah achieved her dream and crossed the finish line in London in 2010.
