Jane is blazing the trail for LivingWell

LivingWell Dunkeld member Jane Campbell is feeling a warm glow lately, and not just from a good workout - she's lucky enough to have been selected as an Olympic torch-bearer!

Scout leader Jane was nominated for her fundraising efforts to save the local scout hut and her dedication to children’s sports. The news that she was to be a torchbearer came as a pleasant surprise. Jane says “I was completely speechless, in fact I was blown away. It was complete disbelief, such an honour”

Jane will carry the torch on June 12th at Scone Palace, as it makes its way from Aberdeen to Dundee. She won’t know how far she’ll be carrying it until the week before, but has already decided she is going to run with it! Why not go and cheer her along if you’re in the area?

In June, we’re setting members a hot new gym challenge with the aim of covering 8,000 miles – the distance of the torch relay - in 30 days. That should prove a flaming good way to burn off some calories!
