Get nutrition advice and really make a difference to your life-style. Eating healthily will complement all your health and fitness goals and it will make you feel great and your see the difference in just a few weeks. You’ll find that eating and drinking healthier can have benefits on both your body and your mind, on topics such as:

 

Eating regularly

Eating regularly helps to maintain metabolism and avoid binge eating. Ideally we recommend eating three main meals and three snacks each day.

Remember breakfast!

When you’re busy, skipping breakfast might seem like a good idea, but beware – your body will respond by slowing down your metabolism to conserve energy.

Reducing caffeine

If you want to reduce your caffeine intake, we can help. Try drinking a glass of water or mineral water with your coffee, and remember that tea contains tannin – why not substitute normal tea with fruit or herbal teas?

Reducing alcohol

It can be difficult to understand how much alcohol it’s safe to drink. We’ll explain the guidelines, and we’ll talk about the calorific value of your chosen tipple: for example, a large glass of wine (two units) is 70 Kcals, while a pint of lager or strong beer (also two units) is around 300 Kcals.

Portion control

It’s easy to be seduced by large portions when dining out. We’ll show you easy ways to make a meal out more nutritious and less calorific, such as choosing lean cuts of meat, going easy on sauces and chips, and avoiding bread before your meal arrives.
