Lost your workout mojo?

Lost your workout mojo? Here’s how to get it back now…

Workout with a friend

Going to your health club with a friend will help to keep you motivated. Set a time to meet up and go for it – just getting to the gym is sometimes the biggest obstacle in your workout! Once you’re there, get started, have fun and enjoy quality time with your bestie.

Remind yourself just why you started

Was it to feel more energetic? Feel fitter and healthier for a holiday or special occasion? To train for a fun run? This should motivate you to get to your work out and get another step closer to the reason that you started your journey in the first place.

Write down your feelings

Keep a workout diary so that when your get up and go, got up and went, you can read about how great it felt the last time you ran a 5k on the treadmill – you will soon look forward to that amazing feeling again!

Book a class

Group fitness classes can help you keep motivated as the energy of the group and instructors can keep you going when you may feel like giving up! It’s so much easier to listen to somebody and do what they are asking you to do.

Write motivational notes

And hang them up so they are visible everywhere – desk, fridge, car, calendar. These can be your specific health and fitness goals or motivational sayings, giving you a constant reminder to be motivated. Remember – you’re only one workout away from a good mood.

Book a Personal Trainer

Having someone right there with you to help you, motivate you and spur you on to do that one last squat feels good and will inspire you to keep coming back for more.

Tell everyone that you’re going for a workout

Simple. Work colleagues, friends, partner, family, supermarket checkout, everyone. It’s then a bit embarrassing if you don’t.

Do something different

A change is as good as a rest they say and at LivingWell there is a huge range of classes and activities to choose from. Don’t feel energised? Why not try a BoxFit class?
