National Fitness Day is fast approaching; the perfect reminder to work on improving fitness levels and focus on healthy living. Join us at LivingWell on September 18th, 2024, to get involved! So, how can you take part?
National Fitness Day aims to highlight the small steps we can all take in life to improve our health. The easiest way to get involved is to get active! Even small steps can make a great difference.
At LivingWell, there are a variety of ways to get started to improve your fitness, no matter your current levels, and with regular commitment, you’ll be seeing improvements before you know it!
Swimming
Swimming is an excellent fitness activity for all ages! From babies to adults, swimming offers benefits such as alleviating stress and improving balance, plus improved coordination and posture.
The main benefit of swimming, that sets it apart from other activities, is that it is non-weight-bearing. This means that the risk of injury is significantly reduced! It also means that it is suitable for those who are currently injured or struggle with mobility, making it a great option for improving fitness.
If you want to improve your swimming technique or water confidence, some of our clubs now host swimming lessons. These are available for all groups, no matter your swimming ability or age. Find out more here.
Gym
A gym session is a great way to build muscle and improve mobility and bone strength. This can help reduce the risk of future mobility and stability issues.

Fitness Classes
